Blue Hawaiian Mocktail: A Refreshing Tropical Drink Recipe

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A vibrant and refreshing Blue Hawaiian Mocktail, perfect for a tropical escape! This non-alcoholic version features the classic blue hue and flavors of pineapple, coconut, and lime.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ounce Blue Curaçao Syrup (non-alcoholic)
  • 2 ounces Pineapple Juice
  • 1 ounce Cream of Coconut (Coco Lopez recommended)
  • 1/2 ounce Fresh Lime Juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Pineapple wedge, for garnish
  • Maraschino cherry, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Chill Your Glass: Place a hurricane glass (or any tall glass) in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to chill. Alternatively, fill with ice while preparing the drink, then discard the ice.
  2. Gather Ingredients: Measure all ingredients and prepare garnishes (pineapple wedge and maraschino cherry).
  3. Combine Liquids: In a cocktail shaker, combine Blue Curaçao Syrup, pineapple juice, cream of coconut, and lime juice.
  4. Add Ice: Fill the cocktail shaker about two-thirds full with ice cubes.
  5. Shake Vigorously: Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds.
  6. Strain into Glass: Remove the chilled glass and strain the contents of the cocktail shaker into the glass.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust Sweetness: Reduce cream of coconut or add club soda for less sweetness. Add more Blue Curaçao Syrup or simple syrup for more sweetness.
  • Frozen Pineapple: Use frozen pineapple chunks instead of juice for a thicker mocktail. Blend until smooth.
  • Ginger Ale: Add a splash of ginger ale for extra fizz and ginger flavor.
  • Slushie: Blend all ingredients with a cup of crushed ice for a slushie version.
  • Layered Effect: Pour pineapple juice first, then layer cream of coconut, and drizzle Blue Curaçao Syrup down the side.
  • Coconut Flakes Rim: Rim the glass with shredded coconut by dipping the rim in honey or corn syrup first.
  • Garnish Variations: Use orange slices, kiwi slices, or edible flowers for garnishes.
  • Pitcher: Multiply ingredients for a pitcher. Add ice just before serving.
  • High-Quality Ingredients: Use fresh pineapple juice, good quality Blue Curaçao Syrup, and real cream of coconut.
  • Don’t Over-Shake: Avoid over-shaking to prevent a watery mocktail.
