  • Yield: 1 cocktail 1x

Description

The Rose World Cocktail is a delightful blend of gin, elderflower liqueur, fresh lemon juice, and rose syrup, topped with soda water for a refreshing finish. Garnished with edible rose petals and a lemon wheel, this elegant drink is perfect for summer evenings and special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz gin
  • 1 oz elderflower liqueur
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 oz rose syrup
  • 2 oz soda water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh rose petals (for garnish)
  • 1 lemon wheel (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Gather Your Tools: Ensure you have a cocktail shaker, jigger, strainer, and a glass (preferably a highball glass) ready for mixing.
  2. Measure the Ingredients: Using a jigger, measure 2 oz of gin and pour it into the cocktail shaker. Add 1 oz of elderflower liqueur.
  3. Add Fresh Lemon Juice: Squeeze fresh lemons to obtain 1 oz of lemon juice and add it to the shaker with the gin and elderflower liqueur.
  4. Incorporate the Rose Syrup: Add 1 oz of rose syrup to the shaker. If you don’t have rose syrup, you can make your own by simmering equal parts sugar and water with dried rose petals until fragrant.
  5. Shake It Up: Fill the shaker with ice cubes, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to chill and combine the ingredients.
  6. Strain the Mixture: Remove the lid and use a strainer to pour the mixture into your prepared glass filled with ice.
  7. Add Soda Water: Top off the cocktail with 2 oz of soda water and give it a gentle stir to combine.
  8. Fresh Rose Petals: Place a few fresh, edible rose petals on top of the cocktail for a beautiful presentation and enhanced aroma.
  9. Lemon Wheel: Add a lemon wheel to the rim of the glass for a pop of color and citrus aroma.
  10. Final Touches: Optionally, add a sprig of mint for a refreshing aroma and a splash of green.
  11. Chill Your Glass: If possible, chill your glass in the freezer for a few minutes before serving to keep the cocktail colder for longer.
  12. Pair with Snacks: This cocktail pairs well with light appetizers like cucumber sandwiches, cheese platters, or fresh fruit salad.

Notes

  • Ensure that the rose petals used for garnish are edible and free from chemicals.
  • For a sweeter cocktail, adjust the amount of rose syrup to taste.
