Ingredients
- Ravioli
- Salt
- Fresh basil leaves
- Grated Parmesan cheese
- Mushrooms (optional)
- Sun-dried tomatoes (optional)
- Different herbs (optional)
- Red wine (optional)
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Carefully add the ravioli to the boiling water, making sure not to overcrowd the pot.
- Cook the ravioli for about 3-4 minutes, or until they float to the surface and are tender. Fresh ravioli cooks quickly, so keep an eye on them.
- Using a slotted spoon, remove the cooked ravioli and transfer them to the skillet with the tomato sauce. Gently toss to coat the ravioli in the sauce.
- Serve the ravioli hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves and additional grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
- You can customize the filling by adding other ingredients like mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, or different herbs.
- Leftover ravioli can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days or frozen for later use.
- For a richer sauce, consider adding a splash of red wine or a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.
