Description
A refreshing Pineapple Strawberry Slushie that blends the tropical sweetness of pineapple with juicy strawberries, perfect for hot days. Easy to make and customizable, this slushie is a delightful treat to enjoy anytime!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks (or canned pineapple, drained)
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 1/2 cup coconut water (or regular water)
- 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (adjust based on sweetness preference)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (optional, for added tang)
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Wash the strawberries thoroughly under cold water. Remove the green tops and slice them in half.
- If using fresh pineapple, cut it into chunks. If using canned pineapple, drain it well.
- For an extra frosty texture, freeze the pineapple and strawberries for about an hour before blending.
- In a blender, add the frozen pineapple chunks first.
- Next, add the fresh strawberries.
- Pour in the ice cubes.
- Add the coconut water.
- Drizzle in the honey or agave syrup.
- If using lime juice, add it now.
- Secure the lid and blend on high speed until smooth and slushy (about 30-60 seconds). If too thick, add more coconut water or regular water.
- Taste the slushie and adjust sweetness or tanginess by adding more honey/agave or lime juice, blending again as needed.
- Pour the slushie mixture into glasses.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves and optional fruit slices.
- Serve immediately with a straw or spoon.
- Transfer any remaining slushie into an airtight container, leaving space at the top.
- Store in the freezer for up to 1 week. Let it sit at room temperature to soften before serving again.
Notes
- Adjust the sweetness of the slushie based on your preference by varying the amount of honey or agave syrup.
- For a more pronounced tang, increase the lime juice.
- This slushie is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored for later consumption.
