  • Author: Maria
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A refreshing Pineapple Strawberry Slushie that blends the tropical sweetness of pineapple with juicy strawberries, perfect for hot days. Easy to make and customizable, this slushie is a delightful treat to enjoy anytime!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks (or canned pineapple, drained)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup coconut water (or regular water)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (adjust based on sweetness preference)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (optional, for added tang)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash the strawberries thoroughly under cold water. Remove the green tops and slice them in half.
  2. If using fresh pineapple, cut it into chunks. If using canned pineapple, drain it well.
  3. For an extra frosty texture, freeze the pineapple and strawberries for about an hour before blending.
  4. In a blender, add the frozen pineapple chunks first.
  5. Next, add the fresh strawberries.
  6. Pour in the ice cubes.
  7. Add the coconut water.
  8. Drizzle in the honey or agave syrup.
  9. If using lime juice, add it now.
  10. Secure the lid and blend on high speed until smooth and slushy (about 30-60 seconds). If too thick, add more coconut water or regular water.
  11. Taste the slushie and adjust sweetness or tanginess by adding more honey/agave or lime juice, blending again as needed.
  12. Pour the slushie mixture into glasses.
  13. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and optional fruit slices.
  14. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon.
  15. Transfer any remaining slushie into an airtight container, leaving space at the top.
  16. Store in the freezer for up to 1 week. Let it sit at room temperature to soften before serving again.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness of the slushie based on your preference by varying the amount of honey or agave syrup.
  • For a more pronounced tang, increase the lime juice.
  • This slushie is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored for later consumption.
