  • Yield: 12 sliders 1x

Description

Savor the deliciousness of Philly Cheesesteak Sliders, featuring tender ribeye steak, sautéed onions, bell peppers, and gooey provolone cheese, all tucked into soft slider buns. Ideal for game day or any gathering, these sliders are a guaranteed crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound of thinly sliced ribeye steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 slices of provolone cheese
  • 12 slider buns (preferably soft, like Hawaiian rolls)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • Butter, for brushing the buns

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and green bell peppers to the skillet. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until soft and slightly caramelized. If using mushrooms, add them now. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Push the vegetables to the side and add the ribeye steak. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  4. Drizzle Worcestershire sauce over the mixture, mixing well. Cook for an additional minute.
  5. Lay provolone cheese over the mixture and cover the skillet for 1-2 minutes until melted. Remove from heat.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Slice slider buns in half horizontally, keeping them connected if using Hawaiian rolls.
  8. Melt butter and brush it over the cut sides of the buns.
  9. Place the bottom halves of the slider buns in a baking dish. Spoon the steak and cheese mixture evenly over the buns.
  10. Place the top halves of the buns over the filling. Brush with more melted butter if desired.
  11. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
  12. Bake for about 15 minutes.
  13. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until golden brown.
  14. Let cool for a couple of minutes, then slice into individual sliders. Serve warm with dipping sauces.
  15. Gather your friends and family to enjoy these delicious sliders!

Notes

  • Ribeye is recommended for its flavor and marbling, but flank steak or sirloin can be used for a leaner option.
  • Feel free to add jalapeños for a spicy kick or other vegetables of your choice.
