- 1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
- Celery sticks and carrot sticks, for serving
- Blue cheese or ranch dressing, for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Toss the wings until they are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack, ensuring they arent touching.
- Place the baking sheet with the wings in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, carefully flip each wing over using tongs.
- Return the wings to the oven and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for about 5 minutes.
- In a medium bowl, combine hot sauce, melted butter, white vinegar, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- Whisk the ingredients together until well combined. Adjust the heat level to your liking.
- Transfer the baked wings to a large mixing bowl.
- Pour the buffalo sauce over the wings and toss gently until fully coated.
- Transfer the buffalo wings to a serving platter.
- Serve with celery and carrot sticks on the side.
- Provide blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping.
