Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
- 2 oz fresh lime juice (about 1–2 limes)
- 2 oz tequila (preferably a good quality blanco tequila)
- 1 oz orange liqueur (like Cointreau or Triple Sec)
- 1 oz hot honey (store-bought or homemade)
- Ice cubes
- Peach slices and lime wedges for garnish
- Salt or Tajín for rimming the glass (optional)
Instructions
- Wash the peaches thoroughly, cut them in half, remove the pit, and slice them into wedges. You can leave the skin on for added texture or peel them if you prefer.
- Roll the limes on the countertop to release the juices, then cut them in half and squeeze out about 2 oz of juice into a measuring cup.
- If making homemade hot honey, mix equal parts honey and your favorite hot sauce in a small bowl. Adjust the heat to your liking, or use store-bought hot honey.
- In a blender, add the sliced peaches and blend until smooth. For a chunkier texture, pulse the blender a few times.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the peach puree, fresh lime juice, tequila, orange liqueur, and hot honey. Adjust sweetness with more hot honey if desired.
- Fill the shaker with ice cubes, cover tightly, and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to chill and mix the ingredients.
- If desired, rim your glass with salt or Tajín by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it into a plate of salt or Tajín.
- Using a fine mesh strainer, pour the margarita mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice. Straining removes any peach pulp for a smoother drink.
- Add peach slices and a lime wedge on the rim of the glass for presentation. A sprig of fresh mint can also enhance the look and aroma.
- Enjoy your Hot Honey Peach Margarita right away while its cold and refreshing. Perfect for summer gatherings or relaxing evenings.
- If the margarita is too sweet, add a splash of soda water for fizz. For more heat, drizzle additional hot honey on top before serving.
Notes
- Fruit Variations: Substitute peaches with mango, pineapple, or strawberries for different flavors.
- Pitcher Version: Scale the recipe for a party by multiplying the ingredients and mixing in a large pitcher.
- Non-Alcoholic Option: Omit tequila and orange liqueur, replacing them with sparkling water or peach-flavored soda for a refreshing mocktail.
