Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
- Cooking spray or additional butter for greasing the baking sheet
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the beef mixture into small meatballs, about 1 tablespoon each, yielding approximately 12-15 meatballs.
- In a separate bowl, mix the shredded cheddar cheese and grated Parmesan cheese together. Set aside.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking sheet with cooking spray or melted butter.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface, pinching the seams together to create a solid sheet.
- Cut the dough into 3×3 inch squares, yielding about 12 squares.
- Place a meatball in the center of each dough square and top with about 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture.
- Fold the corners of the dough over the meatball and cheese, pinching the seams to seal completely.
- Repeat until all meatballs and dough squares are used.
- Place the assembled bombs seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and minced garlic, then brush over the tops of each bomb.
- Optionally, sprinkle extra grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Monitor closely during the last few minutes to prevent over-browning; cover with aluminum foil if necessary.
- Let cool for about 5 minutes before transferring to a serving platter.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for color.
- Serve warm with dipping sauces like ketchup, mustard, or ranch dressing.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- To reheat, place in the oven or microwave until warmed through.
Notes
- Feel free to customize the filling with your favorite seasonings or additional ingredients like diced onions or pickles.
- These bombs can also be made with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
