Description
Enjoy a refreshing Frozen Espresso Martini, a perfect blend of vodka, coffee liqueur, and rich espresso, ideal for warm days or as a post-dinner treat. This frosty cocktail is delicious and visually appealing, making it a great choice for entertaining.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ounces vodka
- 1 ounce coffee liqueur (like Kahlúa)
- 1 ounce freshly brewed espresso (cooled)
- 1 ounce simple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup ice cubes
- Coffee beans (for garnish)
- Optional: chocolate shavings or cocoa powder (for garnish)
Instructions
- Brew your espresso using a quality coffee bean. An espresso machine, stovetop Moka pot, or Aeropress works well.
- Allow the espresso to cool to room temperature to prevent melting the ice too quickly.
- Combine equal parts sugar and water in a small saucepan (e.g., 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water).
- Heat over medium, stirring until the sugar dissolves, which takes a few minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool. Store any leftovers in the fridge for up to a month.
- In a blender, combine the cooled espresso, vodka, coffee liqueur, simple syrup, and ice cubes.
- Blend on high until smooth and frothy, about 30 seconds. Ensure the ice is finely crushed.
- Taste and adjust sweetness with more simple syrup if desired, then blend again.
- Pour the mixture into your favorite cocktail glasses, filling them about three-quarters full.
- Garnish with three coffee beans on top for aroma and visual appeal.
- For an extra touch, sprinkle cocoa powder or add chocolate shavings on top.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing cocktail!
- If you have leftovers, store the mixture in the freezer and blend again before serving.
Notes
- Use high-quality vodka and coffee liqueur for the best flavor.
