  • Author: Maria
  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Description

Enjoy a refreshing homemade cold coffee that blends rich brewed coffee with creamy milk and a touch of vanilla. Perfect for warm days or as an afternoon treat, this customizable drink can be enhanced with optional garnishes and flavors to suit your taste.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of brewed coffee (cooled to room temperature)
  • 1 cup of milk (whole, skim, or your choice of plant-based milk)
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup of heavy cream (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • Ice cubes
  • Chocolate syrup (for drizzling, optional)
  • Cocoa powder or instant coffee (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew 2 cups of coffee using your preferred method. Let it cool to room temperature or refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  2. Taste the cooled coffee and add sugar to your liking (start with 2 tablespoons).
  3. In a bowl or pitcher, combine 1 cup of milk with 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. For a richer drink, add 1/4 cup of heavy cream (optional) and stir until well combined.
  4. In a blender, combine the cooled coffee, milk mixture, and any additional sugar. Blend on high for about 30 seconds until frothy. Adjust sweetness if needed.
  5. Drizzle chocolate syrup inside your glass, fill it halfway with ice cubes, and pour the blended coffee mixture over the ice.
  6. Optionally, whip some heavy cream and dollop it on top. Garnish with cocoa powder or instant coffee and drizzle more chocolate syrup if desired.
  7. Stir gently with a straw or spoon, appreciate the aroma, and enjoy your refreshing homemade cold coffee!

Notes

  • For a dessert-like treat, consider adding a scoop of ice cream instead of heavy cream.
  • For a mocha flavor, add a tablespoon of cocoa powder to the coffee before blending.
  • Use dairy-free alternatives like almond milk, oat milk, or coconut milk for a vegan version.
  • A pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg can add a warm spice note to the drink.
