Description
Easy, delicious cinnamon sugar biscuit bites from refrigerated dough. Quick breakfast, snack, or dessert!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (16 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough (like Pillsbury Grands!)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- Optional: Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Prepare Cinnamon Sugar: In a medium bowl, whisk together granulated sugar and cinnamon until well combined. Set aside.
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut Biscuits: Open the biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into four equal pieces.
- Melt Butter: Melt the unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl or saucepan.
- Dip in Butter: Dip each biscuit piece into the melted butter, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Coat in Cinnamon Sugar: Toss each buttered biscuit piece in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, coating completely.
- Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the coated biscuit pieces onto the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, leaving space between each piece.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of a biscuit bite. If it comes out clean, they are ready.
- Cool: Remove from oven and let cool slightly on the baking sheet for a few minutes.
- Dust (Optional): Dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
- Serve: Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- For best results, use a good quality cinnamon.
- Keep a close eye on the biscuit bites while baking, as baking times may vary.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
- For longer storage, freeze the biscuit bites. Place them in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze for about 30 minutes, or until solid. Then, transfer them to a freezer-safe bag or container and store for up to 2 months. To reheat, bake them in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-10 minutes, or until warmed through.
