  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. Use a hand mixer or a whisk to blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy. Make sure there are no lumps in the mixture.
  2. Taste the filling and adjust the sweetness if necessary by adding more sugar or cinnamon according to your preference.
  3. Once the filling is well combined, set it aside to allow the flavors to meld while you prepare the bread.
  4. Take the slices of bread and remove the crusts using a sharp knife.
  5. Using a rolling pin, gently flatten each slice of bread.

  8. Starting from one end, carefully roll the bread slice tightly around the filling.

  11. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg (if using). Mix well.
