Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (plus more for cooking)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Cooked rice or pasta (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a large bowl, combine shrimp and salmon. Sprinkle with Cajun seasoning and mix well. Let marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  4. In a medium saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Pour in 1 cup of chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Add 1 cup of heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  7. Stir in 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of paprika. Let simmer for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.
  8. In a large skillet, heat more olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and salmon in batches if necessary.
  9. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until shrimp are pink and salmon is cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  10. In the same skillet, pour in the garlic cream sauce, scraping up any bits from the bottom.
  11. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  12. Return the cooked shrimp and salmon to the skillet, gently stirring to coat in the sauce.
  13. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  14. Plate cooked rice or pasta on each plate.
  15. Spoon the Cajun shrimp and salmon mixture over the rice or pasta, drizzling with garlic sauce.
  16. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
  17. Serve immediately and enjoy!
