This Beef Broccoli Ramen features tender beef sirloin, vibrant broccoli, and perfectly cooked ramen noodles, all tossed in a savory sauce. It’s a quick and satisfying meal, ideal for busy weeknights!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz ramen noodles
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil over high heat.
  2. Add the ramen noodles to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, usually about 3-4 minutes, until they are tender but still firm (al dente).
  3. Once cooked, drain the noodles in a colander and rinse them under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine the sliced beef with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Mix well to coat the beef evenly.
  5. Let the beef marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  6. While the beef is marinating, prepare the broccoli. If using fresh broccoli, cut it into small florets. If using frozen, simply measure out 2 cups.
  7. In a separate pot, bring water to a boil and blanch the broccoli florets for about 2 minutes until they are bright green and slightly tender.
  8. Immediately transfer the broccoli to an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Drain and set aside.
  9. In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  10. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding the pan; you may need to cook the beef in batches.
  11. Cook the beef for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
  12. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  13. Add the blanched broccoli to the skillet and stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  14. In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, beef broth, sesame oil, and sugar until well combined.
  15. Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet with the broccoli and garlic. Bring to a simmer.
  16. Allow the sauce to cook for about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
  17. Add the cooked beef back into the skillet with the broccoli and sauce. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  18. Next, add the cooked ramen noodles to the skillet. Toss everything together gently, ensuring the noodles are well coated with the sauce and mixed with the beef and broccoli.
  19. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the noodles to heat through and absorb the flavors of the sauce.
  20. Once everything is heated through, remove the skillet from the heat.
  21. Serve the beef broccoli ramen hot, garnished with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize the vegetables by adding bell peppers, carrots, or snap peas.
  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes or sriracha to the sauce.
