- 1 cup of crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 cup of strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup of chocolate syrup
- 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts (optional)
- Maraschino cherries for garnish
- Whipped cream for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix on medium speed for about 2 minutes until smooth.
- Gently fold in the sliced bananas and crushed pineapple.
- Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- In a medium bowl, pour in the heavy whipping cream. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
- Beat the cream on medium-high speed until soft peaks form (about 3-5 minutes). Chill in the refrigerator.
- Once the cake is cooled, place it on a serving platter and spread a layer of whipped cream over the top.
- Add the sliced bananas, strawberries, and crushed pineapple on top of the whipped cream.
- Drizzle chocolate syrup over the fruit and sprinkle with chopped walnuts if desired.
- Add dollops of whipped cream around the edges and top each with a maraschino cherry.
- Cover the cake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Slice and serve, optionally adding extra chocolate syrup or whipped cream on top.
